Subject: Solr master slave configuration not ETag friendly

We have 1 master 3 repeater 150 slaves deployed in our production, with 50
slaves replicating from each repeater and all repeaters replicating from
master.

We always observe that the slaves' have different index version and as a
result the generated "ETag" from slaves for the same query is different.

Now this is becoming a major problem in Akamai CDN caching.

How do we approach this problem?

Should we just ask CDN not to use ETag? or There is a way to make slaves
spit out same ETag for the same request? or

There is way to implement sticky session for Solr slaves and Akamai CDN

Note: I know where and how ETags are generated in Solr.
